Lara George was born on 25th of June, 1978 in Nigeria, she grew up in Lagos State where she attended her primary and secondary school.
She attended Queens College in Yaba, Lagos and later obtained a BSc in Architecture at the University of Lagos.
Lara George love for music can be dated back to as early as her teenage age, she joined her school choir while she was still in secondary school. After getting some experience, she later joined a more advanced band known as Kush which has other notable singers like TY Bello, Emem Emma, and Dapo Torimiro.
After a while of the band coming together, they broke up to pursue their careers in music although Lara George always give the band credits saying it played a major role in what she has become.

Lara George music career can be traced back to 2006. She released her debut album titled “Forever In My Heart”. The album hosted her hit song Ijoba Orun which brought her to limelight and earned her thousands of fan, Ijoba Orun is an evergreen song and still making wave within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
Lara George has released 5 albums in total and other singles and features that are touching lives, she has also released to enlogated plays (EPs).
